How do I transfer sick leave to the District?
Notify your previous Florida School District employer that they will need to send sick leave transfer documentation to Human Resources at hr@bay.k12.fl.us.
When will I receive my paycheck?
Employees are paid on the 16th and the last working day of the month except for Administrative employees. Administrative employees are paid on the last working day of each month. DIRECT DEPOSIT is required.
When is my start date?
Your start date will be confirmed at your Onboarding appointment.
How do I receive Master's Degree pay?
Instructional Staff Only: Florida Statues Section 1012-22 (as applied to degrees held in an area of certification) hold that an employee who was hired on or after July 1, 2011, will receive a supplement for any education beyond a Bachelor’s degree. In order to request an advanced degree supplement, contact hr@bay.k12.fl.us for instructions.
Where can I get verification of experience forms?
Verification of Experience forms are part of the Online Onboarding checklist. These must be returned within the first school year of employment.
How much will I get paid?
Your hourly pay rate and/or annual salary will be set once all completed Verification of Experience forms have been received and approved by the Executive Director of Human Resources. New hires will be placed at base rate and/or Salary while Verification of Experience forms are pending.
When will my health benefits begin?
