Applying for a Job with Bay District Schools

Applicants should create an account and application in the online system. Apply for vacancies through the application login.  All positions are advertised for five (5) business days.

      -Instructional, Support, Licensed, Confidential and Vocational positions close at 11:00 p.m. CST on the day the vacancy posting closes.

      -Administrative, Technical and Specialist positions close at 4:30 p.m. on the day the vacancy posting closes. The COMPLETE application packet for Administrative and Technical positions must be submitted to Human Resources at careers@bay.k12.fl.us by the deadline in order to be considered.

How to Become a School-Based or Student-Centered Administrator for Bay District Schools

Bay District Schools is seeking qualified candidates for school-based and student-centered administrative positions who have demonstrated success in student achievement, instructional and organizational leadership.  In order to identify such candidates, the Bay District Schools’ Administrative Application includes the following components:

   1. Applicant Information:  General information and background

   2. Resume: Current resume that outlines the minimum qualifications of the posted position including:

       -Education

       -Relevant certifications and qualifications

       -Experience with dates including duties, responsibilities and accomplishments

       -Three (3) professional references

   3. Education:  Current certifications, advanced degree transcripts, etc. that meet the qualifications for the posted position

   4. Supervisor’s Competency Rating Form: This form should be completed by, and sent from, the current supervisor                                                 to careers@bay.k12.fl.us.

The Administrative Application is considered complete once all required information and documentation has been received by Human Resources. The deadline for receiving applications is no later than 4:30 p.m. CST on the posted closing date.  Applications may be sent electronically to careers@bay.k12.fl.us.  Incomplete applications will not be processed or considered.  Do not depend on U.S. mail or the school courier system for meeting deadlines.  Applications for School-Based or Student-Centered Administrator positions will remain active for two (2) years after the submission date.

Administrative Interviews:

In the event there are more than five (5) qualified applicants for an administrative position, a committee will conduct pre-qualifying interviews of the qualified applicants including questions and tasks specific to the advertised job description and function.  The Pre-Qualifying Committee will rank the applicants and the top five (5) will progress in the interview process.
