Instructional and Student                                Services

Teaching and Learning Services oversees the departments of Exceptional Student Education, Pre-Kindergarten, Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten, Student Services and K-12 Adult and Instructional Services. The mission of Teaching and Learning is to increase student achievement and ensure post-secondary readiness, from early childhood through high school, by developing policies, strengthening instructional practices and fostering conditions necessary to empower networks, school leaders and teachers to promote high standards and equitable access to effective schools and programs.

Student Services Staff

Our goal is to help all our students reach their highest academic potential. We work to identify issues affecting students' academic performance and emotional health; to find solutions where problems are found; and to implement federal and state statutes. To meet those needs, we offer direct services to our students, families, and schools, helping to ensure that classroom and school environments are safe, drug-free, and conducive to students’ optimal educational progress and emotional health.

K-12 & Adult Services

The Bay District Schools Office of Staff Development coordinates a system of professional development for all employees to enable the school community to meet state and local achievement standards and goals and to succeed in school improvement as described in Florida Statute 229.591. All professional development within Bay District Schools is coordinated and monitored by the Office of Staff Development
